1. About Us

This website is owned and operated by Breakfree Training , a UK-based provider of continuing professional development (CPD) courses and resources for counselling professionals and related disciplines.

2. Who Our Courses Are For

Our courses are designed for qualified or trainee professionals in counselling, psychotherapy, education, social care, and allied fields. It is your responsibility to ensure that any course you purchase is appropriate for your scope of practice and meets the CPD requirements of your professional body (e.g., NCPS, BACP, UKCP).

3. Account Creation and Access

To access course materials and self-directed learning content, you must register for a secure user account via our website. You agree to:

  • Keep your login details confidential

  • Use your account solely for your personal/professional development

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we detect any misuse or breach of these Terms.

4. Course Delivery Types

We deliver CPD training through the following formats:

  • Online training (live webinars or self-directed e-learning)

  • In-person training at our designated training venues

  • Blended learning (combination of live/recorded/independent learning)

Access instructions and joining links will be sent via email or accessible through your Break Free Training account.

5. Course Materials & Access

Upon purchase, you will receive access to course materials via your secure account. These may include:

  • PDF handouts

  • Video/audio lectures

  • Downloadable resources

  • Assessments or certificates (where applicable)

Access Duration: Unless otherwise stated, you will have 12 months’ access to any self-directed course content from the date of purchase.

All materials are for your personal use only and must not be copied, shared, or redistributed without written permission.

6. Payment and Refund Policy

All course fees are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

We accept payment via secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). Payment is due in full at the time of booking or purchase.

Refunds:

  • Self-directed courses: Non-refundable once access has been granted

  • Online live training: Refundable with at least 7 days’ notice prior to the event

  • In-person training: Refundable with at least 14 days’ notice

  • No refunds will be issued for non-attendance unless otherwise agreed in writing

If we cancel a course for any reason, a full refund or transfer will be offered.

7. Certificates of Completion

For courses that include certification, a digital certificate will be issued upon completion of all required elements (e.g., attendance, quiz, reflection form). It is your responsibility to download or print your certificate before access expires.

8. Intellectual Property

All course content, branding, website text, images, and downloadable materials are the intellectual property of Breakfree Training or its licensors. By purchasing a course, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials solely for your own professional development.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. While we strive to provide accurate and high-quality content, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes, effectiveness, or applicability to specific cases.

We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or disruption arising from your participation in our courses, including indirect or consequential damages.

10. Privacy & Data Handling

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and store only the data necessary to administer your account and deliver your courses. Please refer to our full Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, store, and protect your data in accordance with the UK GDPR.

11. Changes to Courses or Terms

We reserve the right to update course content, delivery formats, or pricing at any time. We also reserve the right to modify these Terms. You will be notified of significant changes via email or via your user account.

These Terms and your use of our services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
